Imran asks federal govt to invest on oil, gas reserves in KP

UNS IMRAN -2016PESHAWAR -UNS : Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman has said on Sunday that instead of investing Rs200 crore on Orange Line project, the federal government should spend the money on the oil and gas reserves in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
While talking to media on the inauguration of a gas reserve in Matni area of Peshawar, Imran Khan said that KP has enough oil and gas reserves that there is no need to import it from other countries.
Khan stated that Sindh and Balochistan are running out of the reserves.
The PTI chief pronounced that American companies are ready to invest Rs100 billion in KP but the federation is not issuing a No-Objection Certificate (NOC) immediately.
He said that the federation should summon the NOC on immediate basis so that work can be started in the province.
Imran Khan further said that 18 hours of loadshedding is being done in KP causing severe problems for the citizens whereas electricity prices are also on the rise.
