No compromise on transparency, efficiency: PM

ISLAMABAD -UNS : Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday said that the government’s vision of governance was based on transparency and efficiency and there would be no compromise on both these components.

The Prime Minister expressed these views during a meeting with Minister of State for Communication, Abdul Hakeem Baloch, who called on him here at the PM House.

The status of ongoing as well as future development projects across the country were discussed in detail during the meeting.

The Prime Minister was briefed that utmost transparency had been ensured while initiating the Motorway projects without compromising upon their implementation within the stipulated timeline.

These infrastructure development projects worth Rs 800 billion, including China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects would be completed during the next two to three years.

The Prime Minister said that the network of connectivity projects across the country would complement the regional connectivity initiative; speed up development process across the country; increase the economic growth of Pakistan and result in the generation of employment opportunities across the country.
