WANA -UNS– Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said on Friday that process to mainstream Federally Administered Tribal Areas would begin soon while a share would also be reserved in NFC award.
The premier addressed a ceremony after laying foundation stone of Kurram Tangi Dam in North Waziristan today. He said that an era of terror and unrest has ended. He demanded off the political parties to end politics of agitation and work for the progress of the country.
PM Nawaz said that a new prosperous era has begun in North Waziristan after laying foundation of the dam.
He said that countries could only progress with a positive approach. Elimination of terror in the country was made possible by national unity. The areas in the tribal region that once were captured by terrorists are now governed by locals, he said.
The premier also asserted that construction of Bhasha Dam would also begin this year. PM Nawaz assured that power outages would become an episode of the gone days once the new projects are completed.
Country that witnesses power outages of over 12 hours a day cannot progress, he added. The premier claimed that electricity supply in the country is far better than when the government had assumed power in 2013.
He urged provincial governments to add to federation’s efforts for a prosperous Pakistan. Government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz allotted Rs 3 billion for Lowari tunnel projects which was not completed for past 5 decades, the premier said.
The dam that PM Nawaz Sharif has laid foundation stone of today would help generate 83.4 Mega Watt, according to the government’s figures.
