PM’s cousin records statement before JIT

ISLAMABAD -UNS: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s cousin Tariq Shafi appeared before joint investigation team (JIT) on Sunday to record his statements in the Panama Papers Case.

The PM’s relative was questioned for three hours by the investigation team.

Tariq Shafi, while speaking to media while leaving for his residence, said that JIT has not summoned him again.

Shafi claimed that he briefed the investigation team about Gulf Steel.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s cousin Tariq Shafi on Sunday reached Federal Judicial Complex to record his statements before the Joint Investigation Team in Panamagate Case.

State Minister for Water and Power drove Shafi to the judicial complex for the questioning.

JIT has also summoned Hassan Nawaz on 3rd July (tomorrow) and Hussain Nawaz on 4th July (Monday) for questioning as well.

The joint investigation team has also summoned Maryam Nawaz on 5th July (Tuesday).
