ISLAMABAD -UNS : The countdown to the final JIT report which will be presented to the Supreme Court of Pakistan in four days, has begun as son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Hussain Nawaz, has flown to Doha.
According to details, a meeting of the JIT presided by Wajid Zia was held in which the difficulties which the members of the investigation team encountered while going to Doha recently were discussed. The Qatari prince’s refusal to meet the members of the JIT was also discussed.
The JIT members had offered the prince to record his statement in Pakistani embassy in Qatar; however, he rejected the offer.
In the Panama Papers case, the Qatari prince has submitted two letters to the Supreme Court, offering clarification on the Sharif family’s business ties and money trail in the Middle East.
The JIT will submit their final report in the Supreme Court of Pakistan on July 10.
