LAHORE -UNS – Disqualified prime minister Nawaz Sharif has submitted his nomination papers to contest for NA-120 polls contrary to popular reports of his wife Kulsoom Nawaz contesting in the constituency.
Scrutiny of the papers is to be carried out on August 15 and will continue until August 17.
The candidate will be informed whether their papers have been entertained or rejected by August 21. August 12 (today) was the last date announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to file the papers.
According to the schedule released on August 12 by the commission, polling for the constituency of Lahore-III is to be held on September 17.
