TEHRAN -UNS/IRNA – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Pakistani counterpart Khawaja Muhammad Asif in a meeting discussed various regional issues.
Refugees, drug trafficking, fighting extremist and terrorist groups and also conditions of Muslims in Myanmar were among topics discussed by both sides.
Iranian and Pakistani ministers also held talks on different ways to develop bilateral ties in banking, transportation
field and also promoting cooperation in fighting terrorism.
During the meeting, Zarif stressed on both countries’ need to develop banking ties.
Zarif also reviewed fighting terrorism and terrorists in the region and both countries’ cooperation in establishing peace and security in Afghanistan through regional and multilateral political talks.
Meanwhile, Asif underscored the need to adopt a specific policy as regard unbalanced policies in the region.
