Pakistan,Cambodia to enhance parliamentary linkages,trade volume

ISLAMABAD- Pakistan and Cambodia would enhance the bilateral ties to further strengthen the parliamentary linkages and increase the existing low trade volume between the two countries to its optimal potential.

This was deliberated in a meeting of Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani with Prime Minister, Hun Sen, of the Kingdom of Cambodia during his visit for the 1st Executive Council Meeting of the Asia Parliamentary Assembly.

Chairman Raza Rabbani thanked the Prime Minister, his government and people of Cambodia for the warm hospitality extended to the Pakistan delegation. Under his able leadership, there was impressive real estate development in Phnom Penh since his last visit in 2015.

Chairman Senate stated that Pakistan-Cambodia had traditionally enjoyed long friendly relations. It was heartening to know that Cambodia was availing the capacity building courses in diplomacy and professional disciplines offered by the Government of Pakistan.

Pakistan was highly grateful to Cambodia for its unwavering to Pakistan’s candidature of the ASEAN full dialogue partnership. It was equally important for our two countries to enhance economic and trade relations.

Chairman Senate reiterated that the Government of Pakistan was looking forward to the visit of the Prime Minister Hun Sen to Pakistan on a convenient date. He would also welcome him in the Senate of Pakistan.
