PTI leading with 43,687 votes in NA-4 by-poll

PESHAWAR-UNS : The process of polling in NA-4 by-poll has ended as the returning officer and other staff of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has started counting votes to see which political party triumphed.

The unofficial results from 184 polling stations have found PTI’s Arbab Amir ahead with 43,687 votes. ANP’s Khush Dil Khan has been replaced by PML-N leader Nasir Musa Zai for the second position.
ANP’s Khush Dil Khan is leading with 341 votes in another polling station in Peshawar city.
Phandu polling station results hold PML-N in lead with 126 votes while PTI coming in second with 104 votes.
From polling station number 112, Arbab Amir is leading with 211 votes while PML-N’s Nasir Musa Zai has taken 164 votes and is on third position. ANP’s Khush Dil Khan has taken 176 votes and is on second position. It should be reaffirmed that these are unofficial results.
In polling station number 7, Arbab Amir of PTI has taken 741 votes and is on first position. ANP leader Khush Dil Khan took second position with his 609 votes. The third position has been taken by Nasir Musa Zai of PML-N with 513 votes.
All major political parties including PML-N, PPP, PTI, ANP and others are competing in the by-poll and have flexed their muscle to clinch the constituency before the 2018 general elections. Voting begin in the morning at 8am and ended in the evening at 5pm.
Electronic voting machines were used in as many as 35 polling stations. It is the first time that the technology has been used. A large number of women within the Peshawar constituency have also cast votes in favour of their desired leaders.
