ISLAMABAD -UNS: International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) is bracing itself for what may be another Panama Papers-style leak. The disclosures involving corruption and tax evasion scandals are likely.
“Are you ready for our next project? Make sure you’ve signed up to get our news alerts,” the ICIJ said on Twitter.
The ICIJ is an independent Washington D.C.-based international network which is fighting corruption with the world’s best cross-border journalism by more than 200 reporters in 70 countries.
The ICIJ’s Panama Papers project has sparked major worldwide impact: it led to at least 150 inquiries and investigations in 79 countries, wiped an estimated $135 billion off the value of 400 public-traded companies, and forced two Prime Ministers to resign.
