Pakistan Day celebrated across world including IHK

ISLAMABAD -UNS/APP – Not only in Pakistan, but the Resolution Day was also celebrated in different countries across the world.

In Pakistan, the day dawned with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and a 21-gun salute in the provincial capitals.


In Srilanka, High Commission of Islamic Republic of Pakistan and Pakistani community celebrated the day with traditional fervour and resolve to make Pakistan a strong, vibrant, progressive and democratic welfare state.

According to the Embassy sources, the Acting High Commissioner (AHC) of Pakistan hoisted the national flag of Pakistan in a colourful ceremony, held at the Pakistan High Commission this morning. Later, the messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were read out to the audience.

The AHC, on the occasion, said that Pakistan greatly values its relations with Sri Lanka which are based on mutual trust and understanding. It is a matter of great satisfaction that these mutually beneficial relations, rooted in history, have become truly multi-dimensional, covering fields of politics, economy, defence and security, culture, education and people-to-people contacts, he added.


In Singapore, Pakistan Day was celebrated with national spirit, the day was begun with the hoisting of the flag by High Commissioner of Singapore Nasrullah Khan.

The officers and officials of the High Commission, as well as a cross section of Pakistani community/diaspora members of the host country’s Parliament and diplomatic were also attended the ceremony, said a message received here from Embassy of Singapore.

The messages of the President and Prime Minister were read out. The High Commissioner, in his address, highlighted the importance of the day and the progress that Pakistan has made in every field of life.

He also underlined the achievements that the government of Pakistan made through its sound political and socio-economic policies. The High Commissioner also complimented the contributions of the Pakistani community to project a positive image of Pakistan in Singapore.


In Srinagar, Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) celebrated Pakistan Day, in which the party chief Aasiya Andrabi said that all Muslims in the sub-continent are Pakistanis.

Aasiya Andrabi addressing the party workers during a programme organized to commemorate the Pakistan Day said, “Every Muslim in the sub-continent is a Pakistani on the basis of Islam, Iman (faith), Quran and love for Prophet Muhammad (SAW).”

During the programme, Aasiya Andrabi and her supporters sang the National Anthem of Pakistan.
