Confrontation has emerged between PCB and the Punjab police as the latter wants a share in gate passes for PSL matches.
Since the board refused to meet the demands of the Punjab police, the PCB staff and broadcasters faced an unwelcoming attitude from the officials during the matches at the Gaddafi Stadium, sources said.
Pakistani food, tea is fantastic, says Australian journalist Dennis Freedman
Sources further said the Punjab police demanded thousands of tickets and two VIP boxes for their higher-ups. After a meeting between the two failed in this regard, hot words were exchanged between the two parties.
Since then, the PCB employees and broadcasters have been facing problems, with the officials being sent from one gate to another even though they have valid entry cards.
A source told The News that if he went inside, he could go out, but then he would face difficulty in coming back inside despite having a card issued by the PCB.
The Punjab Sports Board and Pakistan Hockey Federation officials also faced the same entry and exit issues during the matches on Saturday and Sunday.
When contacted, the PCB officials said the issue had been sorted out amicably and everything was normal between the two.
